Broadband Service in Newport Tennessee?

By Caleb Abramson

NPT Staff WriterNEWPORT-Friday morning, representatives of Connected Tennessee,
an independent non-profit organization that strives to use
technology to improve infrastructure within the state, presented
a program about broadband Internet connections at the
Cocke County Chamber of Commerce.
Michael Ramage, executive director of Connected Tennessee
and Steve Buttry, e-connected project manager, discussed the
benefits of becoming a broadband county. High-speed Internet
is commonly referred to as broadband and the
Tennessee Broadband Task Force was established to study the
challenges related to providing this service to all Tennesseans.
The 2007 executive report preview for Tennessee has a Task Force
report issued in January that states, "Broadband expansion is to
the 21st century what rural electrification was to the 20th century
...High-speed Internet access...is critically important to Tennessee's
future, especially in jobs, education and healthcare."Ramage told the
Chamber of Commerce Cocke County is one of only
four Tennessee counties he has visited to discuss plans for

introducing plans for a broadband Internet. Cocke County is
the only county he and Buttry have visited in East Tennesse.

Remember all the talk about Public Domain

Hey, do you remember all the talk and hype about the Public Domain a couple of months ago? Well it was all true, if you took action on it. Just like 90% of everything else out there. If you take action, you will succeed. Pretty simple isn’t it?

In A Hurry?  Public Domain Package
*********************************************************

Well, to be honest with ya, most of the products about the Public Domain that were being sold a couple of months ago were just plain over priced. I mean how can you justify spending hundreds to learn about free information?

This problem has been solved today! A package of very valuable tools was released that will guide you through the whole Public Domain phenomenon. And it is only 7 smackaroos. LOL been a while since I used that word. You also get 100% commissions.

Public Domain Package

Here is my affiliate link to the package. No I haven’t hid it under a redirect script it is just my raw link. I can’t believe that people fall for the whole redirect thing anymore, plus why would anyone take it away from me when it is just seven bucks and they get the same opportunity. Sorry just my 2 cents worth on that :)

Public Domain Package

Have a great day and I hope you enjoy this one.

Monetize Your Websites By using Affiliate Programs

When you first started thinking about putting a site online, you may have just wanted to have a place to express your opinions or a place to share thoughts and images with family. Now that you have your site up and running, you may be thinking of ways to monetize your site. You may have even started your business website to increase your profits in the first place. While there are many great ways to increase your profits online, did you know that there are many “passive” opportunities online that can help you make money?

You will be able to make additional money with your website, provided that you know about the programs that are available to you and the proper use of such programs. These programs are a great way to add extra revenue streams to your personal websites, they also may add value and relevant content to your business websites as well.

Affiliate Programs

Perhaps one of the most popular affiliate programs online today is Google Adsense. Google Adsense is a program provided by the popular Google search engine. It is a pay per click program, which means that each time a visitor clicks on the links that you have placed on your website, you will earn a specific amount of money. The typical amount of money earned per click is around 10 cents, but certain keywords can generate ads that will bring you multiple dollars per click. Google provides you with all the codes you will need to add the context ads to your website. The links are customizable so that the colors and fonts will match your existing website. Once you place the code on your website, the links will then generate ads to match your content, which means that the visitors visiting your website will be more likely to click on the links, since they were relevant to what they were searching for in the first place.

Another popular affiliate program online is Amazon. Amazon allows you to sell specific products on your website for profit. The amount you make is typically a percentage of the amount the person pays for the item. Amazon allows you to display as many items as you would like, and does not require any amount of content to do so.

If you are having trouble finding affiliate programs, then you may consider joining an affiliate network. An affiliate network is a website that offers a wide variety of products and services to sell on your website. This allows you to easily search for affiliate program in which you want to market. It also will monitor all of your commissions from the various programs, add it to one account, and then send you one check once the amount in your account exceeded your specified amount. If you have ever tried to manage several affiliate programs at once, you will greatly appreciate this feature.

It is important to look for affiliate programs that offer high commissions. If a affiliate program is only going to give you a penny per sale, then why bother?

You may also want to consider joining affiliate programs that offer tier programs. A “tier” program allows you to not only sell their product or service for profit, but it also allows you to recruit others to do the same. Once you recruit others, you then gain profits for each of their sales as well. A 3 tier program allows you to collect profits for the people you recruit AND the people they recruit. Essentially, you make money off of all their efforts.

Setting Your Website Up With These Programs

Placement is one of the most important things when it comes to affiliate advertising. You do not want to clutter your pages with ads, since it will take away from your original content. Instead, you will want to use the ads sparingly, and in appropriate places. If a visitor searches for electronics and you post Amazon codes for children’s book on the same page, then chances are the visitor will not click on your link.

Like I mentioned before, the Google Adsense ads will self tailor themselves to the content in which the links are found on. If you place a Google ad code on a page talking about Phone cards, then all of the ads will be related to phones. I would only use one Google Ad code per page, to make sure you do not clutter up the page. Plus, a visitor is more likely to click on an ad if they do not feel that they are being bombarded by them.

Of course, good content is still the most important part in creating a successful website. You want content that is based upon popular keywords. This will help you generate search engine traffic. The more traffic you generate, the more likely you are to generate income from ad clicks.

This is just one of many strategies used in monetizing a website. Remember that the saying, ”If you build it they will come” does not hold true when it comes to building websites. Please do your research and apply all the best techniques and traffic generation methods available.

6 Ways to Keep Visitors Coming Back to Your Website

To keep up a successful business website, you have to keep your visitors coming back. Unless you offer them something to come back to, then chances are they will not keep coming. You will need content on your website that not only interests them, but also changes regularly.

1)Newsletter- A newsletter is one of the best ways to keep your visitors coming back time and time again.

You will want to include part of a unique article or tip in your newsletter, and then a link to the rest. This will force your viewers to visit your site to get the remainder of the story.

Once again you do not have to write all the content yourself. Using free article directories will cut the time it takes to put a newsletter together in half.

2)Blog– Believe It or not, people are interested in what you have to say! A blog will not only allow you to update your clients on your business and life, but it also gives you a great opportunity to add those much needed keywords to your website.

There are quite a few free applications available that make blogging easy such as Blogger and Wordpress.

3) Forums- Forums provide something that everyone craves: conversation. If a forum is provided on your site, the visitor will have a reason to visit your website frequently, whether it be to ask a question when help is needed or to keep up on a conversation.

You can host your forum from your site, or choose to use a third party forum, whatever your prefer. Both have their pros and cons, it just comes down to what is best for your business.

4) Coupons and Discounts- You may want to provide coupons or discounts for your previous clients to entice them to return to your website.

You can use the coupons a number of ways. A few ideas are:

-Free or discounted shipping
-A specific percentage discount (such as 10%)
-A buy one get one free.

Discounts are easy to administer, provided you have a shopping cart system. The typical way discounts are given is by code. A code word such as “springtime” allows customers with the code word to receive a discount.

Alternately, you may want to provide a printable coupon on your site, and accept it at your physical location.

5) Contests- Who doesn’t want to win something? By offering contests (especially if they change frequently) it gives your visitors something to come back for. When the visitor signs up for the contest you may also want to include a link to your newsletter.

The key is to change the contest frequently, whether it be weekly, monthly, or semi-annually. Just remember, the more you change your contest the more times your visitors will come back to your site.

6) Articles- Articles give your visitor something to read. Undoubtedly, sometime in the future, your customer will have a question, or want more information about the products or services that they received from your business. If the articles pertain to your business and the products and services that you offer, then they will be able to access that information easily.

You do not necessary have to write these articles yourself.

You can post information about your products directly from the product package, or manufacturer’s website.

There are several article directories online that provide good, quality content at no cost to you. It is as simple as visiting the directories, searching for articles that suit your business, and then copying them into your website. You are only required to provide a link back to the original author’s website.
