I have a Toshiba laptop. I know my computer have been in infected by some virus and spyware cookies. I used to use many different software to scan and stop the infection in my computer, but unsuccessful. Everytime I scan my computer, after 5 or 10 minutes, my computer is automatic shut down. I don't know why. I think the reason is because when I scan to a specific virus or spyware which is important for running other programs, the scanning software affects to them, so they cause the shutting down of my computer. Am I right? If so, could you help me to solve this problem, and show me another way to scan, kill and stop virus and spyware without cause shutting down computer? Do you know any free software I can use?

Your PC is shutting off, because you have two or more Anti-virus programs installed and they are not compatible.
You need
1 Ad-Aware
2Anti-virus
and a good firewall
Free software that I like: "Spybot-Search & Destroy", "Adaware or Adware", "Avg" anti-virus.
You may be correct in your assumptions. Viruses and such, can indeed shutdown your computer. This may sound silly to ask, but are you using more than one software programme, at a time. I have encountered the computer shutting down while using 2 detectors at a time.
There's a good list of free virus/spyware removal tools here, also has some good info on how to avoid stuff like this.http://www.basicspywaretips.com/getridofspyware.html
Use only one antivirus at a time. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some RAM/ hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful
I got a couple of viruses in the last month, even though I had Norton anti-virus on my system and AVG – both were installed on my system by someone else. So, I am looking at anti-virus programs and I want to pay cuz my experience with free software has not been all that good. I looked at a few and liked Cyberdefender and PC Tools. I saw this how to activate video on Youtube:

I liked that Cyberdefender seems to be a more complete package, covering anti-virus, trojans, spyware, and id theft protection.
