well you won’t be able to tell the difference with the processor speed bump, but you will see major improvements in graphics handling with the 9600 gt over the 9400m. it depends what you’d be using it for though. if you expect to play any intense games, i’d suggest the 9600 gt. when snow leopard is released, the 9600 gt will also be used to handle processes the the intel chip usually would handle, so the 9600 gt model will pull ahead of the base 15 inch with the 9400m.

no, both the 13 & 15 inch are for traveling. the 17 inch is a mobile desktop replacement. the 15 inch isn’t much wider than the 13 inch. the 13 inch also lacks the 9600 gt graphics card which the 15 inch has.

15 inch macbook pro is 1440×900
17 inch macbook pro is 1920×1200, but can you change the resolution to 1440×900? like the 15inch.

along with what chillafrilla said, it also includes ambient light sensors, sudden motion sensors, a Kensington lock, a more color accurate screen, a huge ass track pad, and the osx leopard operating system. chillafrilla also said the aluminum unibody on a mac vs the cheap plastic body on a dell, the overall design and thinness (this is less than 1 inch thin btw), and the included iLife suite which is superior to free or included applications that dell bundles with its computers.

yea u can, the i chat format is better too

  8. tootall110 Said,

the white macbook is made of polycarbonate casing, which is much more sturdy and expensive than plastic despite their similar appearance. but still, any polycarbonate or plastic body on a laptop is shit compared to the aluminum casing on the macbook pros.
