   it’s possible that it didn’t stop because sometimes it take it’s time on one particular spot. Make sure you do the error check first, because if you have an error on your disk, that also might be the problem

   Zavisi od hard diska i koliko ga nisi ?istio.Naravno to sve ovisi o processoru.Uglavnom ne bi trebalo uzeti više od pola sata.

   Defragmentacija ti traje ovisno o tome koliko zauzetog prostora imaš na disku i koliko su ti podatci razbacani na disku. Može trajat manje od pola sata al može i više od tri sata

    Disc fragment does not recognize that I have two drives …C & D …
    It will defrag C and does not recognize D …
    D is full .. I have no means to clean or compress it.. any advice as to what to do now?

    It really gives a big hand in hard disk problems.

    Before conducting defrag, in the first place, it is better for you to scan the disks in case the track and files are broken or missing.

    And, you should close down all the programs that are running reading and writing operations to the disks, for example, the anti-virus software may hinder the defragmenting process.

    That is to say, the disk cleaning program cannot continue if any reading and writing operation is running.

    If such problem happens, it is likely that you have set that Windows manage the virtual memory automatically.

    Since it manages for a period of time, Windows can alter the virtual memory automatically. So the cleaning disk program has to clear up the hard disk from the very beginning.

    In order to defragment smoothly, you should force your Windows’ automatic management of virtual memory or to set a fixed value.

    Besides, you also have to check whether you have set screensaver or not. When the system has finished 10% of defragmenting process, then the screensaver is open, your computer has to clean up from the beginning again.

    Therefore, you are supposed to close down the screensaver so as to let other background programs complete defragmentation. After doing that, you can start the “Disk Defragmenter” in the Windows to see whether it get right or not.
