Dec-29th-2009

Check out my new channel: www.youtube.com READ THIS DESCRIPTION (IMPORTANT) This is the absolute complete guide in speeding up your computer. I felt I was keeping a lot of other things to myself in my other video, so I decided to make a new one. Remember that these were done in windows XP but most of them are also applicable to windows Vista. For Vista users, stay away from the registry tweaks and services. If you want more tutorial videos, just say, I may just listen depending on the amount …

It’s lagging as in? Opening up a folder take a couple seconds etc? What you need to do is follow my speed up guide on my other channel.

  2. edgelover101 Said,

    Safe mode dont work

  3. realnigga444 Said,

What did you do with CCleaner? I hope that when ccleaner started up you didn’t put a check mark on everything or you will end up with problems. I hope you cleaned with the default settings. Anyway just repeatedly press F8 when your computer is booting up. Go in safe mode and then run “system restore” and restore your system at a date before the problem.

  4. dranoel1963 Said,

  5. edgelover101 Said,

  6. realnigga444 Said,

Oh sorry to hear but you probably could’ve recovered your files if you burned ubuntu live cd and ran it. Anyway you already cleaned it so it’s gone.

  7. edgelover101 Said,

safemode did not work so i burned windows xp home ed unto a cd and reinstalled windows. i lost EVERYTHING i had and now i have to start fresh

  8. realnigga444 Said,

omg your talking about speeding your pc up put yours is not reaky fast is m8

  11. realnigga444 Said,

You’re probably not getting me but 768 mb to 1 gb is necessary for Xp to run as smoothly as possible. If you put 256 and install a bunch of programs then you’ll understand.

  12. Viking6688 Said,

    one more thing
Windows XP recommendation for RAM isnt 1GB
    you need atleast 256MB RAM
    not 1GB!
2GB is recommended for Windows Vista
    1-2GB i mean

  13. edgelover101 Said,

Because of the C.Cleaner my computer starts up with the blue screen and i can’t fix it

  14. sighwarrior Said,

hey my friend. You can delete your files permanently through “shift + delete” command. If you do this, all the files that has been deleted wont sent to the recycle bin instead it will be deleted permanently without a chance of retrieving it.

If you delete your files through selecting and right click then delete, the file you had been deleted will go to the recycle bin which will consume space on you hard disk.

Files on the recycle bin is retrievable, so anytime you can take it back and use it

  15. lauby2009 Said,

what did you mean when u reduce recycle bin size and you said big files cant be deleted wtf…. how do u permantly delete them any other way

  16. Bocktown66 Said,

  17. movietow Said,

    Intel Xeon

    16gb of RAM
    Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Bit
256gb Solid State Drive (Which 79gb is used)
    ATi Radeon HD 4870 x2

Although it is a really fast PC, this did help when I was online on CoD WaW

  20. nytrini2005 Said,

I suggested “.tmp and not TEMP files.

  21. Comykosaa5 Said,

What’ s name of this song?

  22. realnigga444 Said,

You are right about the 16-bit thing but that was just for a lil extra boost for my extra slow computer back then. And .tmp files in the c:\ temp holds backups of your computer drivers, i would not tell anyone to delete those. The command to go to the temp files doesn’t send you to that location but another

  23. nytrini2005 Said,

Your suggestions are great EXCEPT the one to change your screen resolution to 16 bit. You don’t need to go that far.
One thing I’d add though…before I defrag. I do a wild card search for TMP files and delete them all. So you’re searching for *.tmp in the C drive. That’s not tEmp eh!

  24. realnigga444 Said,

I suppose Dell is good but the only reason i had this computer was because my father gived me it when i was 16. It was basically my first computer that i can consider my own. It was really slow so I formatted it and did a bunch of tweaks and installed the programs i needed. Right now i’m using a toshiba 64 bit computer and I really not feeling the greatness. I guess when window’s 7 is finally out, i’ll be satisfied.

  25. Viking6688 Said,

    my computer is
    Pentium 4 2.66GHz
    1GB RAM
    40GB HDD
    64MB Intel Extreme Graphics Accelerator
    Windows XP Pro SP3
Vistainspirat 2 installed and better performance than before
and i used bout 20GB of ma HDD
    nice INTEL XEON though movietow

  26. Jeanne Said,

There are various methods to speed up computer and defragment disk is one of them.
