Yeah it is quite close to black, actually from some angles we thought it was black! But on closer inspection is a sophisticated dark dark dark blue

the battery is OK only according to other reviews the battery life isnt as long as other batteries and the charging takes a little longer. and also its a new type of battery so you might have to get extras and they cost bout $50 each

how long is the batery?
Barrel distortion evident from the lens on some users Youtube footage from this camera but HD 1080i footage has been impressive for a compact, low light performance being particularly good. The sound, though stereo, is a little thin. All in all, though, this camera is very much on my shortlist for its HD video? feature and your review was helpful.
